Happy zalf, happy you

Happy ointment, happy you

Which balm is best for your skin?
The skin is our largest organ, which is why it is important to take good care of it. You want nothing more for yourself and your little one than calm, healthy skin. It doesn't necessarily have to be the softest baby skin, but it should be well-cared-for skin.

At Babyzus, we have now developed 4 balms, each with its own unique strength. Although they are all slightly different, all these balms have a base of Shea Butter.

Our Shea Butters are 100% natural and organic. Shea butter is extracted from the nuts of the Shea tree, which grows in Africa. This tree is known as 'The Tree of Life' because of its many extraordinary uses. Cold-pressed so that all its beneficial properties are preserved. It provides excellent care for skin and hair. Made by nature, 100% natural. No parabens, no fragrance, and not tested on animals. Suitable for all ages.

What is the difference between our Butters?
This is a frequently asked question in our Instagram DMs, so it's a great time to provide a quick summary!

We currently have 4 Butters in our range: Shea Butter, Shea Butter Nilotica, Happy Balm, and now the well-known Raspberry Balm. All equally wonderful, but each with their own unique properties!

The biggest advantage of all these balms is:
1. It is 100% natural
2. It is a balm, not a water-based cream, so it is highly nourishing!
3. It does not clog the skin

Shea Butter
This pure butter was the first to be introduced to the Dutch market. This is the balm most of you are familiar with. It is a bit harder in its solid state & 'melts' as soon as it is warmed by rubbing it between your hands. This balm is slightly thicker and therefore has a long-lasting nourishing effect on the skin. You might need to get used to the scent of this balm at first. I personally use it as a night cream; since the skin repairs itself at night, it’s the perfect moment to give it an extra boost.

Extra: You can choose to have a gemstone added to this balm. The stone releases its energy into the balm in the tin! A special extra meaning for yourself or the person you are gifting it to.

Shea Butter Nilotica
This soft Shea Butter is 100% natural but is harvested in a different part of Africa. It is often sold as the 'luxury' variant of Shea Butter because it spreads easily right away and is fragrance-free. Otherwise, it has the same nourishing effect. We mostly use this one ourselves for larger areas of the body, and it works great during pregnancy for a growing belly!

Happy Balm
We developed this variant ourselves with the manufacturer, making it truly our own balm! It consists of 75% Shea Butter, supplemented with Grape Seed Oil & a hint of vanilla macerate. The added benefit of grape seed oil is that it is quickly absorbed by the skin and is moisturizing, ensuring smooth skin.
It is wonderfully spreadable, so you can use it for your baby at the changing table (no need to warm it up by rubbing it first!). The scent of this balm is also much more pleasant due to the vanilla, which is often compared to white chocolate ;-).

Raspberry Balm
A beautiful balm made from Shea Butter & Raspberry Seed Oil. This combination became especially popular thanks to the power of social media - mommy bloggers. The special power of raspberry seed oil is that it calms & repairs the skin. A perfect balm for sore baby bottoms or scrapes. I personally use it as an after-sun after a day in the sun; it really repairs the skin perfectly!

Hopefully, this blog has helped you a little bit.
Luckily, you can't go 'wrong', because 100% natural skincare is all good!

Lots of love, Maaike
